Quick and easy sauce to serve over your favorite pasta. Serving is about a 1/2 cup.

Recipe Directions for E's Chicken Sausage Ragu

  1. Place oil in a large skillet. Turn the heat to medium, preheat pan for 1 minute then add diced onion. Saute onion for about 5 minutes - til fragrant and translucent.

  2. Remove chicken sausages from their casings(or use a casing-less sausage), crumble and add to the pan, saute on medium until done - about 10 minutes.

  3. Add tomato paste (weight measure here is about 1/2 cup) and milk and stir til combined.

  4. Add salt and pepper to taste. Note:My tomato paste is fairly salty so I didn't add any salt, and the sausage I used was actually chicken sausage with roasted red peppers so I didn't need to season it.

  5. Serve over your favorite pasta or rice.
