Small baked cakes, very easy to make, low in calories and great for a snack!

Recipe Ingredients for English Scones

225 g self-raising flour
225 g brown flour
100 g low-fat margarine
1 pinch salt
100 g splenda
250 ml skim milk
100 g raisins

Recipe Directions for English Scones

  1. rub together all dry ingredients.

  2. add raisins.

  3. slowly add milk to form a dough (it should not be too dry, if so add more milk).

  4. flatten dough on baking board and cut to shape - large or small rounds

  5. bake in oven at 220C (Gas mark 7 / 425F) for 12-15 minutes

  6. Ideally cover with teatowel while cooling to stop them getting too hard

  7. Enjoy with butter and jam! Especially warm
