Recipe Ingredients for English Batter Buns/Muffins

1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup water
2 tsps yeast
2 eggs, beaten
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
3 1/2 cups flour

Recipe Directions for English Batter Buns/Muffins

  1. Melt margarine in bowl

  2. Add milk, water and eggs

  3. Add dry ingredients including yeast

  4. Beat for 2 minutes

  5. Leave to stand for 30 mins covered

  6. Mix again for 25 strokes

  7. Spoon into greased muffin pan

  8. Leave to stand for about 20 minutes until risen to top of pans

  9. Bake at 400 degrees for about 10 - 15 mins
