Recipe Ingredients for Energy/Breakfast Bars

1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
1/3 cup whole wheat flour
1/3 cup wheat germ
1/3 cup oat bran
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup applesauce
1/8 cup peanut butter
1/8 cup maple syrup
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup mixed nuts, chopped
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
4 prunes, chopped

Recipe Directions for Energy/Breakfast Bars

  1. Mix the first 5 ingredients in a bowl

  2. Stir in the wet ingredients & sugar

  3. Add chopped nuts

  4. Mix together well

  5. Bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes or until edges start to brown
