A tomato, chickpea, pasta, peas and pesto stew

Recipe Ingredients for Emma Jane's Pasts & Chickpea Stew

3 tblsp olive oil
500 g Chickpeas
1 pint chopped tomatos
400 g penne pasta
2 cups peas
3 spring onions
1 pint water
2 tblsp pesto

Recipe Directions for Emma Jane's Pasts & Chickpea Stew

Fry the scallions and chickpeas in the olive oil for a few minutes. Pour in the pint of vegetable stock, and tomato passatta. Bring to the boil and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Add in the pasta, and frozen peas. Cook for a further 15-20 minutes. When cooked stir in the pesto and serve.
