This recipes turns 2 cups of raw (ideally organic) almonds into healthy and tasty snack food.

Recipe Ingredients for Ellen's Spicy Almonds

1 tbsp. chili powder
2 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground cumin
1/8 tsp. curry powder
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
2 c. whole almonds

Recipe Directions for Ellen's Spicy Almonds

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. In a medium bowl, combine chili powder, olive oil, salt, cumin, cinnamon, and pepper; add almonds and toss to coat.

  3. Transfer to a large baking dish (13 x 9).

  4. Bake about 10 minutes or until almonds are toasted, stirring twice. Cool almonds completely before serving. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
