Lasagna made with ground turkey and turkey sausage

Recipe Ingredients for Eileen's Lasagna

10 ounces lasagna noodles
3 cups mozzarella
32 ounces spaghetti sauce
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
3 turkey sausage links
16 ounces ground turkey
32 ounces cottage cheese
1/4 cup parsley
1 egg (beaten)

Recipe Directions for Eileen's Lasagna

  1. Remove casing from sausage and brown. Brown ground turkey. Drain meat and put on paper towel to absorb any additional grease. Set aside to cool. Mix together meat and spaghetti sauce.

  2. Boil water in large pan and add lasagna noodles. Cook as directed on package. Drain and put under cool water to make handling easier.

  3. Mix together cottage cheese, beaten egg, parmesan cheese, mozzarella and parsley.

  4. In large pan put one cup spaghetti sauce mixture. Next layer on 4 lasagna noodles, next layer cheese mixture. Repeat with 2 more layers with cheese mixture on top.

  5. Bake in oven at 350 degrees covered with aluminum foil for 60 minutes.
