1 medium unpeeled raw Eggplant
452 grams Roma Style Tomato Sauce
8 serving Crave Brothers Fresh Mozzarella Cheese
tsp Oregano, Ground
4 cloves, raw Garlic
0.5 tsp Salt, Table
1/4 cup Bread Crumbs Italian Style
1 large Egg, Whole
0.5 tsp Sugars, Granulated
1 serving Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Recipe Directions for Eggplant Parmigiana (turetta recipe)

  1. beat one whole egg. cut eggplant into 1/4 inch thick round pieces. pass on the egg then the breadcrumbs, well coated.

  2. fry on olive oil medium heat until golden brown, dry thoroughly with paper towel.

  3. Set it aside.

  4. Dice garlic into very small pieces.

  5. Coat large sauce pan with 1 tsp of olive oil.

  6. Saute garlic in olive oil until before start turning golden.

  7. Open 3 cans of Contadina tomato sauce add to sauce pan.

  8. Add the same size of the can (each can) of water to sauce pan.

  9. Add oregano, salt, and sugar into sauce. Let it simmer for about 45 minutes.

  10. Cut Mozzarella in thin slices.

  11. in a small glass pirex, mount the eggplant, then sauce, then mozzarella cheese. Repeat the process until you use up all the eggplant and mozzarella.

  12. Preheat oven 350 degrees.

  13. Place eggplant in the oven for about 15 minutes until cheese if fully melted.
