this white sauce uses no eggs, and tofu instead of cheddar cheese.

Recipe Ingredients for eggless white sauce with tofu

1 tbsp all purpose flour
2 oz tofu
4 oz milk, semi skimmed
1 salt to taste
1/4 tsp sugar
1 cup water

Recipe Directions for eggless white sauce with tofu

  1. squeeze water out of tofu, shread, keep aside.

  2. heat wok.

  3. saute all purpose flour till it starts turning golden brown.

  4. reduce flame, and slowly add the milk, stirring all the while.

  5. smoothen out any lumps that may form.

  6. when the sauce starts thickening, add water.

  7. bring to a boil, and as the sauce starts to thicken again , add the salt, sugar and tofu.

  8. cook for a minute on low flame.

  9. remove.

  10. serve with par boiled/microwaved vegetables.
