Recipe Ingredients for Egg-Free Butter-Free Fudge Cake

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
2 cups flour
3/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup canola oil
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 1/2 cups water
1 1/2 tsp vinegar

Recipe Directions for Egg-Free Butter-Free Fudge Cake

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350.

  2. 2. In an ungreased 10 x 10 inch pan, sift all the dry ingredients.

  3. 3. Add the liquids and stir until just blended.

  4. 4. Bake for 25mins.

  5. 5. Frost with your favourite frosting or leave plain; cake is extremely moist, so be careful not to tear the cake when removing it.
