Easy whole wheat banana bread recipe

Recipe Ingredients for Easy Whole Wheat Banana Bread

3 medium (7" to 7-7/8" long) Bananas
2 T flax meal
1 1/2 cup Whole Wheat Flour
0.17 cup (orig. recipe calls for 1/3 cup) Butter
1 cup Sugars, Granulated
1 large Egg, Whole
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 tsp Baking Soda
1/4 tsp Sea Salt

Recipe Directions for Easy Whole Wheat Banana Bread

  1. No need for a mixer for this recipe. Preheat the oven to 350F (175C). With a wooden spoon, mix butter into the mashed bananas in a large mixing bowl. Mix in the sugar, egg, flax meal and vanilla. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in. Add the flour last, mix. Pour mixture into a buttered 4x8 inch loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour. Cool on a rack. Remove from pan and slice to serve.

  2. Yield: Makes one loaf.
