Recipe Ingredients for Easy Unstuffed Stuffed Cabbage

1 lb ground beef, lean
1 cup onion, diced
3 cups cabbage, diced
14 1/2 oz stewed tomatoes
8 oz Tomato Sauce (no salt)
1/2 cup brown rice, short grain
3 cups low sodium beef broth
1 Pepper to taste

Recipe Directions for Easy Unstuffed Stuffed Cabbage

  1. Brown ground beef in a good non stick pan. When the meat is browned add the diced onion, sautéing until opaque.

  2. Add the diced cabbage, stewed tomato, tomato sauce, ½ cup brown rice, and 3 cups beef broth. Add pepper to taste. Let come to a boil then turn down to a simmer for 30 to 45 minutes covered.
