Easy Stuffed Cabbage. Casserole dish

Recipe Ingredients for Easy Stuffed Cabbage

1 1/2 lb ground turkey
3/4 cup brown rice, short grain
1 large onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp salt
28 oz tomato sauce
1/4 cup cider vinegar
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp dry mustard
8 1/2 cups cabbage, coarsely chopped

Recipe Directions for Easy Stuffed Cabbage

  1. Brown meat, onion, and garlic.

  2. Drain well and add rice, salt and pepper.

  3. In small bowl, mix together tomato sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, and dry mustard.

  4. Layer 1/3 of cabbage in 3 QT deep casserole. Arrange 1/2 turkey mixture on top, cover with another 1/3 of cabbage. Top with remaining beef mixture and remainin cabbage.

  5. Pour tomato sauce mixture over the top. Do not stir.

  6. Casserole will be quite full. Let it stand at room temperature for 20 minutes.

  7. Bake in 325 oven for 2 hours without stirring
