Note that I used home prepared black beans that I soaked and cooked from their dried state, and did not add any salt when I cooked them. This is a very low sodium black bean dish

Recipe Ingredients for easy spicy black beans and rice

1 cup Beans, Black, Mature Seeds
1 cup Rice, Brown, Medium-grain, Cooked
5 1/2 oz Low Sodium V8 100% Vegetable Juice
1 serving Extra Spicy Salt-Free Seasoning Blend

Recipe Directions for easy spicy black beans and rice

  1. combine beans, rice and V8. Add 1-2 teaspoons of Mrs Dash and heat through. If you like this extra spicy, put in about 1 tablespoon of Mrs Dash, otherwise adjust to taste.

  2. if dish is too thick, you can add a little chicken broth or water
