An easy-to-make sausage stuffing. Makes very generous portions as side dish. Taken from Parenting magazine (I think).

Recipe Ingredients for Easy Sausage Stuffing

3/4 lb sausages (Italian or garlic and herb)
2 Granny Smith apples, cored and diced, but not peeled
1/4 cup unsalted butter
2 cups water
1 cup dried cranberries
240 g stuffing mix (2 boxes of Stove Top Stuffing)

Recipe Directions for Easy Sausage Stuffing

  1. Remove sausage from casing and cook in a large pot over medium heat, until meat is no longer pink. Break it up into small pieces as it cooks. Add apples during last few minutes of cooking.

  2. Add butter and water and bring to boil. Remove from heat and add cranberries and stuffing mix. Stir to combine then transfer to large greased baking pan or casserole container.

  3. Cover and bake at 350F for 60 minutes.
