Recipe Ingredients for Easy Rice with Mushrooms

1/2 onion
3 cloves garlic
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup chopped mushrooms
1 cup rice
2 cups chicken broth
1 tablespoon soy sauce

Recipe Directions for Easy Rice with Mushrooms

  1. Finely chop onion and garlic. Saute in olive oil until onions are slightly translucent. If canned mushrooms add once onions are cooked. If using fresh add them at the same time as the onion and garlic.

  2. Add chicken broth and rice into saute pan heat to a boil.

  3. Reduce heat to low and simmer covered for twenty minutes.

  4. Turn off heat stir in soy sauce and let sit for 5 minutes until serving.
