Makes a great homemade pizza crust. Whole grain flour adds extra crunch and fiber. If you like really thin crust, this dough is excellent for it.

Recipe Ingredients for Easy Pizza Dough

3 1/4 cups whole grain Flour
1 package of active dry yeast
1 cup warm water
1/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp olive oil

Recipe Directions for Easy Pizza Dough

  1. In a large bowl, combine 1 1/4 cups of flour, the yeast, and salt. Add warm water and oil. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds, scraping bowl constantly. Beat on high speed for 3 minutes.

  2. Using a spoon, stir in as much of the remaining flour as you can.

  3. Turn out on to a lightly floured surface. Knead in enough of the remaining flour to make a moderately stiff dough that is smooth and elastic (6-8 minutes total).

  4. Divide in half. Cover; let rest 10 minutes.

  5. Spray 2-12 inch pizza pans with vegetable cooking spray.

  6. On a lightly floured surface, roll each half of dough into a 13-inch circle. Transfer to pans. Build up edges slightly. Poke dough with a fork to prevent large bubbles. DO NOT LET RISE.

  7. Bake in 425F oven for about 12 minutes or till browned.

  8. Spread Pizza Sauce over hot crust. Sprinkle your choice of meat, vegetables, and cheese on top.

  9. Bake 10-15 minutes more or till bubbly.
