Recipe Ingredients for Easy Pasta Bake

16 ounces penne pasta
3/4 cup lowfat milk
4 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, grated
15 ounces ricotta cheese
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped finely
1/8 cup fresh oregano, chopped finely
16 ounces spaghetti sauce
1 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

Recipe Directions for Easy Pasta Bake

  1. Heat oven to 350.

  2. Boil water and get pasta started on the stove.

  3. While pasta is cooking, in a large mixing bowl thoroughly combine milk, Parmesan, ricotta, honey, nutmeg, basil, and oregano. Add salt and pepper to taste.

  4. When pasta is done, drain the water off and add to the cheese mixture in the bowl. Make sure all of the pasta is coated with the cheese mix, then pour in a lightly greased baking dish.

  5. Pour spaghetti sauce over the pasta and lightly poke holes so the sauce goes down into the pasta rather than just sitting on top of it.

  6. Sprinkle mozzarella on top, then bake for 25 minutes.

  7. Serve with a buttered multigrain baguette and fresh salad.
