This recipe was adapted from one with 0.5 cups each of apricots and walnuts: I reduced sugar and margarine from 0.5 cup each, and omitted tbsp honey.

Recipe Ingredients for Easy oat cookies, with figs

1 cup flour
2/5 cup sugar
2/5 cup margarine
1 cup rolled oats
3/10 cup figs, dried, chopped
1 tsp cinnamon

Recipe Directions for Easy oat cookies, with figs

  1. preheat oven to 325 F (160 C)

  2. melt margarine and sugar together then cool

  3. sieve flour into mixing bowl, add oats, figs and cinnamon

  4. add margarine and sugar and mix with wooden spoon

  5. take a generous tablespoon of mix, roll into a ball, place onto baking sheet and flatten, repeat

  6. bake for 15-20 minutes
