Recipe Ingredients for Easy Microwave Chocolate Pudding

2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp cocoa
2 tsp cornstarch, firmly packed
3/4 cup skim milk
1/4 tsp vanilla

Recipe Directions for Easy Microwave Chocolate Pudding

  1. In a 1 quart glass microwaveable bowl, combine sugar, coca and cornstarch. Add 1/4 cup of the milk and stir until mixture is smooth and creamy. Add the remaining 1/2 cup milk and stir.

  2. Stir once, just before you close the microwave door because cornstarch quickly settles to the bottom of the bowl. Microwave the milk mixture for 1 1/2 mins on High. Remove bowl from microwave; stir carefully (will be hot). Return pudding to microwave, and cook for another 1 1/2 mins on High. The pudding will begin to thicken.

  3. Remove bowl from microwave, and add vanilla. Stir once. Let the pudding rest for 1-2 mins. It will thicken as it cools.

  4. You can make pudding in a small saucepan on the stove.

  5. Combine ingredients in pot.

  6. Cook over med heat, stirring constantly, until the pudding comes to a boil.

  7. Lower heat and gently simmer, stirring continuously until pudding thickens, about 3 mins.
