Red clam chowder, mainly from cans

Recipe Ingredients for Easy manhattan clam chowder

2 cans clams, canned
1 onion
2 carrots, chopped
14 1/2 ounces tomatoes, diced with zesty jalepenos
2 stalks celery
3 potatoes, diced
1 cup water (or enough to cover all vegetables)
1 tbsp parsley or tyme
1 tsp canola oil

Recipe Directions for Easy manhattan clam chowder

Heat oil in a mid-sized saucepan. Add chopped onions and celery and saute until onions turn translucent. Add tomatoes, carrots, potatos, tyme or parsley and the juice from the canned clams. Add enough water to cover the vegetables and cook until vegetables are soft (about 35-40 minutes. Add clams, heat thru and soup is all ready to serve.
