You can add anything you want to these muffins. Raisins, coconut, walnuts, nutmeg and when you are feeling like a sweet take a 1/2 of a kraft caramel and put it in the center before baking

Recipe Ingredients for Easy Low Fat Oatmeal Muffins

1 cup skim milk
1 cup quick cooking oats
3 egg whites
1/4 cup white sugar
1 cup apple sauce, unsweetened
1 cup all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for Easy Low Fat Oatmeal Muffins

  1. Preheat over to 425F. Line muffin pan with paper muffin liners.

  2. In a small bowl, combine milk and oats and soak for 15 minutes.

  3. In a separate bowl beat egg whites and applesaucem, stir in oatmeal mixture. Sift flour sugar baking powder and salt into oatmeal mixture. Stir until just combined. Spoon batter into cups.

  4. Bake in pre heated oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpic inserted in the center of muffin comes clean.
