Recipe Ingredients for Easy Homemade Polenta

121 g Corn Meal
2 cups 1% milk
1 cup water
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1/4 cup parmesan cheese

Recipe Directions for Easy Homemade Polenta

  1. Bring water, milk, and salt to a boil.

  2. Slowly sprinkle in corn meal, whisking constantly.

  3. Return mixture to a boil, whisking constantly, then turn heat down to keep polenta at a simmer.

  4. Simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until grains are soft and smooth.

  5. Remove from heat, stir in butter and parmesan cheese if desired.

  6. Check seasoning, add salt and pepper if desired.
