Tasty alternative to full fat cinnamon buns!

Recipe Ingredients for Easy Cinnamon Buns

2 packages yeast, baker's, active dry
2/3 cup skim milk
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon Splenda
1/4 tsp salt
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 egg
1/4 cup Splenda brown sugar blend
1/3 cup walnuts, chopped
1/4 tsp cinnamon

Recipe Directions for Easy Cinnamon Buns

  1. Spray a 12 cup muffin pan with vegatable cooking spray. Set aside. In a small bowl sprinkle yeast over warm milk. Let stand 10 minutes.

  2. In alarge bowl combine flour, sugar and salt. Stir in yeast mixture, oil and egg until a dough forms.

  3. In a small bowl combine brwon sugar, nuts and cinnamon for filling. On a lightly floured surface, knead dough for 5 minutes. Divide dough in half, roll each half into a 12x9 inch rectangle. Sprinkle each rectangle with half of filling, leaving a 1 inch border. Lightly press filling into dough. Roll up and cut each into 6 pieces. Place in prepared muffin pan and allow to rise for 1 hour.

  4. Preheat oven to 425 F. Bake until golden, 15 minutes.
