Recipe Ingredients for Easy banana French toast

3 medium (7" to 7-7/8" long) Bananas
2 large Egg, White
1 large Egg, Whole
1/2 cup Milk, Reduced Fat, Fluid, 2% Milkfat
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 tsp Cinnamon, Ground
4 thick slices white or whole-wheat bread
1 tsp Butter

Recipe Directions for Easy banana French toast

  1. Place all ingredients except bread in a blender and blend until smooth.

  2. Lay bread slices in a large, flat-bottomed container or dish and pour banana mixture overtop, ensuring that bread is completely saturated on all sides.

  3. Let it sit and soak in for at least half an hour, until bread slices are fully saturated and are too soggy and delicate to lift without a spatula. Can be covered and refrigerated overnight or even two or three days before cooking.

  4. To cook, fry both sides in butter until golden on medium heat in a heavy-bottom nonstick or cast-iron pan.

  5. Serve topped with syrup and/or butter and/or cinnamon and sugar.
