An Alton Brown breakfast recipe, minus the bacon

Recipe Ingredients for Dutch Baby

4 T butter
1/2 cup flour
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
2 T sugar

Recipe Directions for Dutch Baby

  1. Preheat oven to 400 F. Place butter in a cast-iron skillet.

  2. Combine wet works in a bowl. In a different bowl, combine dry ingredients.

  3. When the oven is preheated, place the skillet in the oven and watch closely. Whisk the wet stuff into the dry stuff until barely combined. Lumps are fine. Do not overmix.

  4. When butter is melted, remove skillet from oven, pour in batter, and return to oven.

  5. Bake approx. 20 minutes or until it looks done.
