Recipe Ingredients for Dutch Apple Bread

1/4 cup ICBINB
1/4 cup applesauce
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup fat free plain yogurt or orange juice
1 cup finely chopped apples (or grated with box grater)
1/3 cup chopped walnuts

Recipe Directions for Dutch Apple Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 325 F (180 C).

  2. Cream together butter, applesauce, and sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well, scraping down sides after each egg.

  4. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt.

  5. Alternating with the dry ingredients, add the sour milk or orange juice.

  6. Fold in the chopped apples and nuts (and cranberries, if using).

  7. Bake in nonstick 9x5? loaf pan for 45-55 minutes or until loaf tests done.
