Recipe Ingredients for Dumplings

2 cups flour
1/2 cup margarine
1 cup milk
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt

Recipe Directions for Dumplings

  1. Mix flour, baking powder and salt.

  2. Grate margarine into flour.

  3. Mix to resemble breadcrumbs.

  4. Add milk, mix with fork adding a little more flour if needed.

  5. Make sure stew is boiling and that there is plenty of gravy.

  6. Drop dumplings into stew and cover and cook for 20 minutes.
