Dumpling with ground pork & napa

Recipe Ingredients for Dumpling with Pork & Napa

16 oz wonton wrapper
1 lb ground pork
7 g shiitake mushroom, soaked & diced
8 ounces of napa cabbage, cut to stripes
1/4 cup scallion, diced
3 tsp salt
1 tsp corn starch
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp white pepper
1 tsp white wine

Recipe Directions for Dumpling with Pork & Napa

  1. take napa cabbage and cut into stripes. Take 1 tsp of salt and let it stand for 5 minutes then drain water.

  2. Combine all ingredients except wonton wrappers into a large bowl and mix

  3. Take 1 wonton wrapper and put about 1 tsp of the meat mix into the center of the wrapper. Fold the wrapper in half and press the top to make a pocket like closure and set it on a plate. Continue until all wrappers are used.

  4. wrappers can be steamed or pan fried.

  5. Steaming: boil water and place a plate on a rack. place about 12 dumplings on the plate and steam at high heat for about 10 to 15 minutes.

  6. Pan fried: heat 1 tbsp of oil and place about 12 dumplings onto pan. Fry for about 2 minutes or until bottom is golden. Add 1/2 cup water and cover 6 to 7 mins or until the water is absorbed
