Recipe Ingredients for Dry Roasted Granola

2 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup almonds, chopped
1/2 cup bran
1/3 cup sesame seeds
1/3 cup pumpkin seeds
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup dried blueberries

Recipe Directions for Dry Roasted Granola

  1. In a large heavy skillet (I use cast iron), toast the oats and nuts over medium-low heat until they begin to just brown about 10 minutes.

  2. Add the oat bran, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds.

  3. Stir another 10 minutes.

  4. Add the brown sugar, and salt and stir 3 more minutes.

  5. Remove from heat and cool completely. The brown sugar will melt slightly and coat the granola.

  6. Add dried blueberries when completely cool.
