Low calorie drop sugar cookie recipe.

Recipe Ingredients for Drop Sugar Cookies

1 1/4 cups flour
1 1/4 cup wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons 1% milk

Recipe Directions for Drop Sugar Cookies

  1. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.

  2. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.

  3. Beat in egg and vanilla.

  4. Add the flour mixture and beat until smooth.

  5. Add in milk and beat.

  6. Drop by teaspoonful-about 3 inches apart onto greased cookie sheet.

  7. Flatten with bottom of a glass dipped in colored sugar.

  8. Bake for 10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.

  9. Cool on racks.
