Great over fat free yogurt or with Almond Silk for breakfast

Recipe Ingredients for Down To Earth Granola

8 cups Old Fashioned Oats
3 cups Sliced Almonds
1 cups Brown Sugar
1/2 cup Olive Oil
1/2 cups Honey
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Vanilla
2 cups Raisins

Recipe Directions for Down To Earth Granola

  1. Mix all dry ingredients EXCEPT raisins

  2. bring oil and honey to boil in heavy saucepan

  3. add vanilla

  4. Remove from heat and pour over dry ingredients and mix well

  5. pour mixture onto two baking sheets

  6. bake at 300 for 30 minutes turning every five minutes

  7. add raisins when cooled

  8. You can use dried cranberries instead of raisins- I've also used Blue Agave Nectar - I've also cut the brown sugar in half (less sweet from 1/2 to 1/4 C) but I find it equally delicious. This recipe has not been altered
