Recipe Ingredients for Dovlecei umpluti

1500 g summer squash
5 tbs olive oil
250 g chicken breast, minced
50 g rice, white
350 g tomato sauce
1 tbs sugar, granulated
1 salt, pepper to taste
3 tomatoes
1 onion, big
20 sprigs parsley
1 tbs flour, white, all-purpose

Recipe Directions for Dovlecei umpluti

  1. Take out the middle of the summer squash. Put it in a large pot and add two tbs olive oil, salt, pepper, parsley, hot pepper, oregano.

  2. Prepare the filling this way: chop one big onion and fry it in two tbs olive oil. Add the rice and some water. Let it soften. Add the chicken breast, minced. Stir until it becomes white.

  3. Fill the summer squashes and put them in the large pot.

  4. Cover them with tomato sauce made from tomatoes, olive oil, garlic, one tbs flour and spices.

  5. Add some tomatoes slices. Put it in the oven for at least one hour.
