This is what I eat in the course of a day most days. Finding a good balance of nutrition without too many calories can be really hard when you're making food decisions every day; I've found it makes it much easier to find that balance with a good mix of foods you like, and then stick with it daily. This site has made it simple and fun for me to do that!

Recipe Ingredients for Doug's daily diet

1 cup blueberries, whole, frozen (thawed)
1 cup strawberries, whole, frozen (thawed)
1 banana
1 cup Pure Almond Almondmilk
3 cups black coffee
4 oz. deli turkey
1 cup spinach
1 cup 2% cottage cheese
87 g pomegranate
1 oz. raw almonds
1/2 cup oats
10 oz. chicken breast
2 scoops 100% Whey Gold Standard
2 tsp Fiber

Recipe Directions for Doug's daily diet

  1. Berries, banana, almond milk, 1 scoop of protein powder, and 1 tsp. Fitness Fiber in a smoothie for breakfast.

  2. Turkey, cottage cheese, spinach, and pomegranate arils mixed together for an early lunch, around 11.

  3. Oats and almonds together as an afternoon snack, at 3.

  4. Gym around 6 (later on yoga days).

  5. 1 scoop of protein powder, 1 tsp Fitness Fiber with water for a post-workout shake (7:30ish).

  6. Chicken breast for dinner (around 8:30; on yoga days, I eat this before going to class, around 6).

  7. Variations: Some days, I also eat a small serving of lentil soup (lentils, spinach, onion, garlic, cumin, salt) with my chicken at dinner. In the winter, I replace the banana with an orange in my smoothie. In the summer, my lunchtime salad has an heirloom tomato instead of the pomegranate.
