Chicken thighs with a BBQ sauce that is low in calories and easy to make

Recipe Ingredients for Doris's BBQ Chicken Thighs

1 1/2 cups ketchup
1/2 cup diet cola
1/2 cup honey
1/4 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp garlic, minced
1 tbsp salad dressing
1/2 tsp cornstarch
24 ounce chicken thighs

Recipe Directions for Doris's BBQ Chicken Thighs

  1. Combine first 8 ingredients in 2 quart saucepan.

  2. Cook over meduim heat for about 19 minutes, stirring frequently.

  3. Remove from heat, setting 1.2 cup of the sauce mixture aside.

  4. Grill chicken thighs on meduim heat fot about 10 to 12 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.

  5. About 10 minutes before the chucken is finished, brush sauce liberally on both sides.

  6. Serve warm with reserved sauce for dipping.
