A tasty, lighter version of macaroni and cheese. Without the cheese.

Recipe Ingredients for Donna's tuna morney.

400 grams Macaroni
736 grams Tuna
1 package (10 oz) yields Vegetables, Mixed
1/4 cup Gold Medal All Purpose Flour
2 serving 2% Partly Skimmed Milk
1 slice, large (1/4" thick) Onions
1 tbsp Olive Oil

Recipe Directions for Donna's tuna morney.

  1. Put the pasta and frozen veggies in a saucepan of water to boil.

  2. Stir fry the tuna and chopped onion together until the onion is soft.

  3. Once the pasta mix is cooked, drain and place into a casserole dish. Add tuna & onion mix and stir through.

  4. In a separate saucepan place butter or margarine in with the flour. Heat continuously stirring with a whisk until butter has melted and has turned the butter to a crumbly consistency.

  5. Keep stirring and carefully add milk 1/4 at a time - do not stop stirring as the milk will stick.

  6. Keeping adding milk until you reach a thick consistency.

  7. Remove from heat and stir through tuna & pasta mix.

  8. Place in the oven on 200oC for 5-10 until the mix thickens further.

  9. Voilą! Take out and serve asap.
