Doggie Turkey and Veggie Muffins May substitute white potatoes with sweet potatoes if desired. Servings are approximately 1/2 cup each.

Recipe Ingredients for Doggie Turkey Dinner Muffins

3 cups oats
2 cups potatoes
1 cup green beans
1/2 cup carrots
1/2 cup peas
5 cups chicken broth
3 eggs
2 lbs ground turkey
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons flax

Recipe Directions for Doggie Turkey Dinner Muffins

  1. Boil 1 package of chicken thighs and/or drumsticks in 5 - 6 cups water for broth.

  2. When broth is ready, remove chicken (I use the chicken for myself).

  3. Steam or cook all vegetables and mash or blend together.

  4. Bring broth back to boil then add oats and flax to broth.

  5. Cook for 5 minutes, then remove from heat and fold in mashed vegetables.

  6. Cover and let stand for approximately 10 minutes.

  7. Beat eggs and oil.

  8. After oats cool, fold in raw ground turkey and egg.

  9. Spoon mixture into lightly greased muffin pan.

  10. Bake at 350 for approximately 25 to 30 minutes.

  11. Remove from oven; cool, package and freeze individual muffins.

  12. Thaw to feed as needed.
