Recipe Ingredients for Djaj ma Limoon (marinated chicken)

4 chicken breast
1 cup lemon juice
3 garlic cloves
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon basil
1/2 teaspoon red pepper
1 salt to taste

Recipe Directions for Djaj ma Limoon (marinated chicken)

  1. Rinse and dry chicken breast and place them in a bow or resealable bag. Whisk together the lemon juice, crushed garlic, thyme, basil and cayenne pepper. Pour the marinade over the chicken and refrigerate for several hours or over night, turning occasionally.

  2. Place chicken breast and marinade in a roasting pan, season with salt and pepper. Bake at 425 for 50minutes or until throughly cooked. Baste occasionally.

  3. Serve with rice.
