Serving size = 7 meatballs = 210 grams Delicious baked turkey meatballs far healthier than beef meatballs. To reduce fat use breast instead of thigh (I prefer thigh because it's tastier) Ideal for spaghetti with tomato sauce, soups or simply with mash. Can be frozen once baked.

Recipe Ingredients for Diane's Turkey meatballs - baked

720 grams Boneless Skinless Turkey Thigh
5 grams Chicken Stock
1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
1 1/2 1tsp Olive Oil
1 medium Egg, Whole
70 grams Bread Crumbs, Dry, Grated, Plain
1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
1/4 tsp Salt, Table
2 clove Garlic
10 sprigs Parsley
1/4 cup Milk, Nonfat, Fluid

Recipe Directions for Diane's Turkey meatballs - baked

  1. Mince the turkey meat - I usually don't buy ground meat so I can remove excess of fat if necessary before mincing

  2. Chop the onions and stir fry on the oil

  3. Heat up half glass of water to dissolve the stock cube or use homemade stock for lower Sodium. NOTE: I have not included the water in the ingredients so that the weight reflects the cooked weight

  4. Mix all ingredients in a big bowl and squeeze until uniform

  5. Prepare a non-stick baking tray or slightly grease a regular tray

  6. Pre-heat oven to 170C

  7. Roll into balls - size of a golf ball. Each ball will be approx. 30 grams, 35 balls in total

  8. Bake for 45 mins or until golden
