Serving is based on 3/4 c of ginger drink, plus water. Cloves: 1T whole cloves, NOT ground cloves

Recipe Ingredients for Diana's Ginger Drink

2 cup, unpacked Sugars, Brown
1 tbsp Cloves, Ground
4 cup slices (1" dia) Ginger Root
4 grams Cinnamon Sticks
30 cup (8 fl oz) Water
0.5 cup Lime Juice

Recipe Directions for Diana's Ginger Drink

  1. Grate the ginger root.

  2. Place ginger, cloves, and cinnamon stick in a large pan with around 28 c of water. Bring to a boil. Let boil about 2 minutes.

  3. Let sit for a couple of hours.

  4. Strain, & restrain, preserving juice. Compost the pulp!

  5. Dissolve sugar in 1-2 c hot water and add to ginger drink.

  6. Sieve lime juice (juice of @ 4 limes) and add to ginger drink.

  7. Serve 1-1 mixed with water, over ice.
