A lighter side of Devil's Food Cake, less sugar and only egg whites.

Recipe Ingredients for Devil's Food Cupcakes

1 tsp cinnamon
3 egg whites
2 1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup cocoa
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp kosher salt
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/3 cup cold water

Recipe Directions for Devil's Food Cupcakes

  1. Set oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Mix all dry ingredients in a medium bowl and set aside. Mix all wet ingredients then add to dry and beat until smooth (will appear a tad watery, but this is good).

  3. Pour in non stick cup cake tray (use a tad of oil to grease the pan/ or cup cake holders). Bake for 30 minutes. Makes 17-18 good size cupcakes, or 24-36 mini cupcakes.
