Recipe Ingredients for Devil's Food Cupcakes

60 grams Cocoa
6 oz Water
12 serving (Bakers
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1 tsp Baking Powder
0.6 tsp Salt, Table
1.5 cup Butter
2.25 cup Sugars, Granulated
4 large Egg, Whole
1 tbsp Vanilla Extract, Imitation, No Alcohol
1 tsp Vanilla Extract, Imitation, No Alcohol
16 tbsp Sour Cream Hampshire

Recipe Directions for Devil's Food Cupcakes

  1. Melt butter with sugar in a saucepan over med-low heat. Stir. Pour into mixing bowl to cool.

  2. Whisk cocoa and hot water until smooth.

  3. Combine flour, baking soda, powder and salt in another bowl.

  4. Once butter/sugar mixture is cooled, add eggs and beat with hand mixer. Add vanilla, then cocoa mixture and beat until combined. Add flour mixture in 2 batches, alternating with the sour cream.

  5. Divide evenly into lined cupcake tins. Bake at 350 for about 20 minutes.
