Recipe Ingredients for Deviled Crab Bake

1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 1/2 cups bread crumbs
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons heavy cream
2 cups crab
1 salt

Recipe Directions for Deviled Crab Bake

  1. Preheat the overn to 350.

  2. Butter a gratin pan or 6 ramekins.

  3. Combine the mustard, cayenne, 1 cup of the bread crumbs, butter, cream and 1 cup hot water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Add the crabmeat and salt to staste and cook 1 minute more.

  4. Fill the baking dish or ramekins and sprinkle with the remaining 1/2 cup bread crumbs.

  5. Bank 20 minutes until the crumbs are lightly browned and the sauce is bubbling.
