4.5 tsp Hot Sauce
1 tbsp Lemon Juice, Canned Or Bottled
3 clove Garlic
1/2 tsp Thyme, Fresh
1 tsp Sodium-Free Salt
3.25 tsp Pepper, Black

Recipe Directions for Deviled Chicken

  1. Adjust the oven rack to the upper middle position and pre-heat to 450 degrees. Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil and set a wire rack inside of it.

  2. Combine the mustard, mayonnaise, hot sauce, lemon juice, garlic, thyme, 3/4 tsp of the salt, and 1 tbsp. of the pepper in a large bowl. Add the chicken breasts and toss until coated. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, up to 3 hours.

  3. Meanwhile, pulse the bread (torn into pieces), the remaining 1/4 tsp of salt, and remaining 1/4 tsp of pepper together in a food processor to coarse crumbs, about 10 pulses. Melt the butter in a nonstick skillet over med. heat. Add the bread crumbs and cook, stirring frequently, until golden, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. Remove the chicken from the bowl and transfer to the wire rack. Sprinkle the toasted bread crumbs evenly over the chicken, pressing gently to adhere. Lightly coat the tops of the chicken with vegetable oil spray.

  5. Bake until the crumbs are deep golden brown and the chicken registers 160-165 degrees on an instant-read thermometer, 20-25 minutes, rotating the pan halfway through. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
