This was a dish put together by my grandmother during the Depression.

Recipe Ingredients for Depression Macaroni and Broccoli

1 cup cooked elbow macaroni
1 cup broccoli florets
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon parmesan cheese

Recipe Directions for Depression Macaroni and Broccoli

  1. Cook broccoli florets per package direstions.

  2. At the end of cooking, add the cooked macaroni to heat through.

  3. Add butter and parmesan cheese to mixute. Eat while hot.
