Recipe Ingredients for Delightful Mac and Cheese

3/4 cup nutritional yeast
1/4 cup pine nuts
2 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon parsley
1 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 cup water
3 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 cup flour
1 cup uncooked macaroni

Recipe Directions for Delightful Mac and Cheese

  1. A disclaimer for all recipes by me: measurements may not be exact.

  2. Put water on to boil.

  3. While water is boiling, put first seven ingredients in the blender and blend until there isn't chunks of pine nuts (I use a magic bullet and it works very well and quickly). Add water and soy sauce and blend more.

  4. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

  5. Make a little bit of roux with your oil and flour by warming the oil adding in the flour and stirring constantly until you don't have any lumps. Pour the "cheesy" sauce you made in the blender into it and stir until it is warm and at your desired consistency (if it is too watery, let it reduce some). When it gets to that consistency, remove from heat.

  6. While this is all happening hopefully you have been watching your water and put your pasta in at some point and it is ready. Strain through colander and pour pasta into the pan of cheesy sauce you made. Transfer into over safe dish (if desired top with bread crumbs or stir in anything you might like) and put it into the oven for 10 or so minutes. Enjoy.
