I got tired of having the same flavor of pork chops so I got creative and this is what I came up with!! It's at the top of my list of things to cook :-). You can use any cereal you want but to make it a little more healthy, choose a light, non sugary cereal like Kix, Frosten Flakes, Cheerios, etc...I used Kix :-). I hope you enjoy!!!!

Recipe Ingredients for Delicious Crunchy Cereal Crusted Pork Chops

1 pork chop (serlion cut)
1 1/4 cup cereal (I used Kix)
1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil (optional)
1 tbsp seasoning salt

Recipe Directions for Delicious Crunchy Cereal Crusted Pork Chops

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fehrenheit (232 Celcius)

  2. Crush cereal or put it in a blender until powdery

  3. Mix together seasoning salt ( I used McCormick's Pork Rub) and cereal together

  4. Put 1 TBSP of Extra Virgin Olive Oil into a bowl or plate by itself

  5. Dip pork chop into Extra Virgin Olive Oil, just enough to lightly coat the pork chop-**skip if not using oil*

  6. Place pork chop into cereal and seasoning mix. Rotate until fully coated on both sides.

  7. Place onto a baking sheet (use aluminum foil to avoid pork chop from sticking).

  8. Bake at least 20 minutes, less if you do not want a crunchy outside. For frozen chops, bake for 45 minutes or until desired doneness.

  9. ENJOY!!
