Using this recipe, I can make my own pizza and omit the cheese, which I'm allergic to.

Recipe Ingredients for Deep Dish Pizza

3 cups Bisquick
3/4 cup water
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/2 t. salt
15 oz. tomato sauce
4 1/2 oz mushrooms, canned, slices
1/2 cup bell pepper, chopped

Recipe Directions for Deep Dish Pizza

  1. Preheat oven to 425.

  2. Lightly grease a 15 1/2 2 10 1/2 x 1 inch pan.

  3. Mix Bisquick and water until soft dough forms. Gently fold dough into ball. On floured surface, knead 20 times. Pat dough on bottom and up sides of pan with floured hands.

  4. Cook and stir ground beef until brown. Add salt. Spread tomato sauce evenly over dough. Spread ground beef evenly over sauce. Top with mushrooms, onion, and peppers. Bake until golden brown, about 20 minutes.
