Recipe Ingredients for Debbie's Paprika Chicken

24 oz. boneless, skinless chicken breast
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
2 tablespoons paprika
1 dash salt
1 dash pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium onion
16 oz baby carrots
8 oz fresh mushrooms
6 medium red potatoes
14 oz. fat free reduced sodium chicken broth
1/2 cup white wine

Recipe Directions for Debbie's Paprika Chicken

  1. Preheat oven to 350

  2. In ziploc bag combine flour, paprika, salt, pepper and garlic powder.

  3. Cut chicken breast to 4 oz. each, drop three pieces at a time into bag, coat and shake off excess flour, place on rack. Repeat with remaining pieces.

  4. Heat oil in dutch oven. Place chicken and lightly brown on each side. Remove from pan.

  5. Slice onion into rings and place seperated rings into pot, lightly cook until softened.

  6. Add carrots and mushrooms to cooked onions, cover with light dusting of salt, pepper and paprika. Toss vegatables. Add potatoes on top and lightly season.

  7. Place chicken on top of potatoes. Add chicken broth and wine down the side of pan.

  8. Cover and place in oven

  9. Bake for approximately 2 hours.
