Recipe Ingredients for Dave's Crispy Bacon Corn Bread

3/4 cup yellow corn meal
1 cup low fat milk (1%)
1 cup low fat sour cream
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons Splenda
1/4 cup egg substitute
28 grams pork, bacon; (Hormel) Real Bacon Bits 50% Less Fat; (serving size; 1 tablespoon (7g) = 1 slice fully cooked bacon)

Recipe Directions for Dave's Crispy Bacon Corn Bread

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

  2. Blend corn meal, milk and sour cream together, and set aside for 30 minutes. Sift together other dry ingredients. Add egg substitute to corn meal mixture. Blend in dry ingredients and beat only until smooth. Add bacon and pour into greased preheated 9-inch square pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Serve hot with butter.
